Job Specifics

Our client entered the waste business aiming to modernize the industry and help build a cleaner world through a pledge of responsible disposal and the technology sophisticated enough to realize it Waste-to-Energy. We are hiring an Equipment operator role with a pay rate of $25 - $30 an hour.

Job Duties:
  • Responsible for the operation, within the facility boundaries, and inspection of a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand tools, forklifts, yard dog, high vacuum trucks, wheel loaders, excavators, boom lifts, and scissor lifts per company policies and procedures as well as OSHA requirements and all local, state, and federal laws.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of the site’s equipment in the assigned areas.
  • Responsible for performing minor maintenance and adjustments on equipment using tools and parts provided by the Company.
  • Responsible for conducting daily motorized machinery inspections on the site’s equipment.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental, policies, procedures, practices, and regulations.
  • Communicates production problems and equipment repair needs to the appropriate Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Operations Supervisor.

Requirements:
  • First-Aid/CPR/AED Certification, and Confined Space Entry Certification or the ability to obtain the necessary certifications is required.
  • An equipment Operator license shall also be maintained where required by local and state regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak and communicate effectively with supervisors and other employees within the company.
  • Ability to take appropriate safe action on his/her initiative to prevent equipment damage or injury to personnel during emergencies or unusual situations.

8:00 am to 4:30 pm shift with the possibility of overtime offered.
