Our client, a large automotive parts manufacturer, is looking for an Automation Technician to start immediately!
Schedule: Flexible
Pay Rate: Up to $34 an hour (depending on qualification and experience)
Job Duties
- Assemblies and test control devices, switch panels, prox switches, limit switches, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles.
- Responsible to provide input in various tooling modification to improve production efficiency and product quality and meet continuous improvement goals.
- Modifies electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations.
- Diagnoses causes of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and preforms preventative and corrective maintenance.
- May need to develop wiring diagrams, layout drawings and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications.
- Plans, directs and records periodic testing, and recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
Requirements
- Strong PLC knowledge with the ability to modify ladder logic for OMRON/Allen Bradley
- Ability to write PLC program ladder logic.
- Robotic teaching experience with Yaskawa Moto man and ABB
- Robotic troubleshooting experience with Yaskawa Motoman and ABB
- Maintain, PM and ensure robustness of production equipment.
- Able to Use Auto CAD Electrical and read blue prints.
- Ability to evaluate, plan, analyze and make viable decision in a JIT work.
- Safety and preventative maintenance of all production equipment
