Our very large and reputable logistics company is looking for warehouse associates to become part of an excellent team! Must be able to support afternoons or night shifts
Hourly Pay: $23.25
Afternoon shift timing: Monday to Thursday 5:45pm to 2:15am and Friday 4:45pm to 1:15am
Major Responsibilities:
- Accurately stage and sort products for loading
- Loads and unloads trailers / open and closing of door docks
- Package or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
- Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system (rf scanner)
- Ensure damaged products are identified and removed when received
- Complete daily logs, maintain inventory records and use the computer to enter records
- Assemble product containers and crates, using hand tools and precut lumber
- Pack containers and parcels for mailing and re-pack damaged containers
- Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Looking for Candidates With:
- At least 1 year of warehousing or material-handling (using hand/power tools and hand truck) equipment experience required
- Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required (where applicable by location)
- Flexible to work overtime preferred
- RF scanner experience
Looking for candidates with at least 1 year experience operating an electric forklift counterbalance. The company is willing to do an in house certification if they do not hold a valid certification.
