Summary
This position encompasses a variety of activities related to receiving of stock, put away, order picking, packing and shipping of standard and dangerous goods. Also Includes, but not limited to, replenishment, processing of returns (Diagnostics and Diabetes Care), reprogramming of Inform II meters, mailroom tasks, cycle counting, rework and merging of stock while providing a high level of customer service through the application of company policies and procedures, all while respecting the Health & Security environment at Roche Diagnostics.
Accountability
Completes receiving of all goods, materials and supplies ordered. Validates temperature ranges and conformity for incoming shipments. Signs and files all associated paperwork. Delivers packages to internal departments. Receives inventoried goods from US and European affiliates; includes piece counts, lot number verification and put away of products through use of an RF gun in their correct locations using the proper SAP transactions. Works in collaboration with transport carriers and the Demand Planning Team to level the workload.
Picks orders with an RF gun for packing while respecting instructions, procedures and the high Quality standards in effect at Roche Diagnostics.
Packs and ships customer orders ensuring that the proper paperwork is completed and the boxes correctly labeled.
Labels ‘rework’ items according to established procedures.
Handles and processes returned goods (Diagnostics and Diabetes Care) following procedures in effect.
Supports daily operations; tasks include replenishing carton boxes, preparation of thermal protection boxes with ice packs, placing completed orders on the correct carrier pallets and any other related duties.
Reprograms Inform II meters following the procedure in place.
Is involved in different projects of continuous improvement (Including work teams) and health and safety.
Complies with all Roche Diagnostics guidelines pertaining to Health, Security and Environment in the workplace.
Pre-requisite
High school diploma in Quebec or high school leaving certificate in other Provinces
Functionally bilingual, written and spoken
(English and French)
3 to 5 years’ experience in a distribution center
Experience with the Google suite. Familiar with WMS (SAP considered an asset) and the use of RF guns.
Available to work different shifts according to business requirements.
Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 40 lbs. and move pallets of 800 lbs. with a manual jigger.
Possesses a forklift driver permit. Experience with ‘stand up’ lifts considered an asset
