 Position Title: | INSTALLER (Montreal and Ottawa)
Position reports to: | Lead Installer and Manager Installation
Direct report(s): None

Position Summary:
The Installer is responsible for accurately delivering and properly installing products at client sites to the highest standards. This is accomplished by providing excellent customer service to all clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors.

Main Duties
Review paperwork and prepare trucks for daily deliveries by following these routine tasks: 
  • Review the installation board to be aware of upcoming installation projects 
  • Load trucks with appropriate products 
  • Review paperwork to ensure all required products are loaded 
  • Empty trucks at the end of the day and tag products for stock, disposal or client stock 
  • Dispose of garbage and recycle materials according to warehouse protocols 
  • Ensure that the truck driver inspects trucks and completes the required SAAQ paperwork   
  • Perform pre-installation verifications including work schedules, preparing toolbox with required tools and additional hardware, and attending meeting with Lead Installer to review project scope, schedule, objectives. 
  • Responsible for installing furniture at the client site by completing the following: 
  • Unload, unpackage, dispatch, and install furniture as per the plan laid out by the Installation Team Leader. 
  • Handle products carefully to eliminate any damages 
  • Keep the job site clean and clear of all garbage from packaging materials 
  • Review and report all damaged, missing, or undelivered products to the Lead Installer 
  • Review and report possible issues with other on-site trades to the Lead Installer 
  • Maintain team morale with a positive attitude when faced with challenging situations to complete the installation on time and on budget 
  • At the end of every day, review installation progress with the Lead Installer h)     Report any additional work required, due to delays, to the Lead Installer including double handling, stoppage in work, site readiness etc.

 Responsibilities, skills, and abilities
The Installer has a moderate level of accountability because they make decisions that directly impact the product installation and the client’s satisfaction. The Installer decides how to resolve installation issues and seeks assistance from the Lead Installer when needed.  The Lead Installer and the Manager Installation review the Installer’s work and approve corrections or flag errors, as needed.  Bilingual, French and English Excellent team player Strong attention to detail Ability to use moving equipment, hand and power tools Time management skills Strong judgement skills Strong problem-solving skills Able to work under pressure and display a sense of urgency Works patiently and maintains a calm and can-do attitude Able to work a variable schedule including daily from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm and some evenings and Saturdays Able to respect colleagues, clients, and sub-contractors   
 
Training and Experience
Education - Minimum High School or trade school
Special training - None
Experience - Some furniture installation experience
