Job description
Our Client is a world class precision manufacturer of metal components and sub-assemblies that
use metal cutting, forming, machining, welding, assembly and paint. We use state-of-the-art machining
and fabrication techniques in a lean, self-directed work team manufacturing environment to produce
high value-added, cost-effective products for our strategic partners.
Responsibilities
• Must be able to effectively read and interpret blueprints / schematics to perform accurate set-ups
• Able to interpret precise measuring instruments. (radius gages, vernier, height stand) to check
products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications
• Able to set-up machines based on job requirements, using fixtures, backstop adjustments, ram
adjustments etc.
• Able to make adjustments to programs and tooling to produce quality product
• Able to load/unload tooling and set-up equipment
• Must have good communication skills - excellent command of the English language
• Ability to train and mentor new and existing staff in the brake press department
• Mathematically inclined
• Problem solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of Cincinnati and Pacific brake presses an asset
Education & Qualifications
• High School Diploma – good Math and Mechanical Drawing skills.
• 3 years of experience.
• Experience with forklift, jib/overhead cranes is an asset
• Physically capable of performing the essential duties and responsibilities of the position including
regular lifting and carrying of 5-23 kgs.
• Ability to work safe and independently within a fast-paced environment.
• Written and oral communication in English.
Salary and Benefits
• Salary: Up to CAD 28 Hourly, (Depending on Experience)
• Medical & Dental after 3 months
• Flexible with hours of work - able to work Day/Aft shifts and OT as required.
• RRSP
Position will start on afternoon shifts for training. Then, switch to day shifts starting at 6:00am.
