We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machine Operator with 3 - 5 years of experience in set up and operating CNC Milling machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and 3 - 5 years of experience setting up and operating HAAS 1600 CNC Horizontal Milling machines. This is a long term opportunity located in Oakville. The pay rate is up to $29 per hour, depending on expereince.
Responsibilities
- Ability to set up tooling per work instruction.
- Knowledge of CNC programs and codes (G and M codes).
- Experience using precise measuring equipment.
- Work with tight tolerances (within .001') -
- Ensure parts meet quality specifications as determined by drawing.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, work instructions, and technical drawings.
- Working with heavy gauge steel and large parts.
- Perform daily maintenance checks
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- May be required to manage more than one machine at a time.
- Comply with Company Health & Safety standards and programs.
- Keep work station neat and organized
Education & Qualifications
- Good Math and Mechanical Drawing skills.
- College or Technical Trade School graduate
- 3 - 5 years of experience in setup and operating CNC Milling machines
- Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes is an asset
- Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying 5-23 KGS
- Ability to work safely and independently within a fast-paced environment.
- Written and oral communication in English
- Must be able to work Day/Afternoon shifts and OT as required.
