Our client's site based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia is looking for a General Labourer for an ongoing temporary to permanent position.
Job Description:
- Move spools of cable and other material in the yard by hand, using a dolly and once trained, with a forklift
- Cutting cables, picking orders
- Assisting clients in picking up orders,
- Data entry.
- The work is 70% outdoors work, working with 1 other person.
- 25% Forklift & 75% Manual/ General labour
Requirements:
- A valid Forklift License
- 1 year of previous Forklift Operation experience
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to work outdoors
- Experience with computers for data entry
- Experience with a 4WD rough terrain lift Forklift would be ideal (Training will be provided internally)
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Lifting Capacity – 50 lbs
Schedule:
- Please Note: First 2 weeks - Scheduled with the site manager 7:00 am -3:00 pm or 8:00 am – 4: 00 pm.
- After Training: Monday – Friday. 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Rate:
- During 4 Weeks of Training - $16/hr
- After training - $18/hr
