Truck Mechanic (Long-term opportunity)
Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
Hours: Monday – Friday 2:00 pm – 12:00 am
Pay Rate: $31.00 - $39.00/hr (Depending on experience)
Summary:
The Truck Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trucks.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair modern diesel engines, advanced electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop at all times.
- You will be required to conduct vehicle maintenance according to company policies and procedures.
- Present yourself in a professional and team-oriented manner at all times.
- Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to company safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Successful candidates must possess an up-to-date license, including a valid Journeyperson Certificate or be enrolled in a school for Truck & Transport Technician (Red Seal).
- 3rd-year apprentice would be considered
- Experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of equipment is a must.
- You must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Provide own tools and willingness to acquire tools as required for jobs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
