Job Title: Customer Service Representative (Bulk & Warehouse)

Company Overview:

We are recruiting on behalf of a prominent Canadian trucking and logistics leader specializing in the transportation of dry bulk materials. With a legacy of over 70 years in business, our client is known for its stability, industry expertise, and commitment to excellence in the supply chain sector.

Position Type: Temporary-to-Permanent

Compensation: $24.00/hour or $53,040/annum

Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Includes a 30-minute on-site lunch and standard breaks)

Timeline: Mentoring period from Feb 1 – Mar 31. Solo start date is April 1 (with ongoing support available).

Role Overview:

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to manage the intersection of customer relations, rail logistics, and warehouse administration. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a mix of proactive problem-solving and systematic data management. In this position, accuracy is our top priority—we value precision over speed.
Key Responsibilities:

Customer Support & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Provide ad-hoc reports and Proof of Delivery (POD) documents upon request.
Railcar & Logistics Management (Boisbriand & Milton)

  • Monitor CP, CN, and Quebec Gatineau listings for inbound customer railcars.
  • Oversee railcar inventory, including coordinating shunts and releasing empty cars.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory variances beyond normal reconciliations.
  • Record daily scale ticket numbers to ensure accurate month-end yard invoicing.
Warehouse Administration & Invoicing:

  • Process daily warehouse invoices triggered by task-based emails.
  • Audit warehouse paperwork to ensure all services are captured for billing.
  • Create and maintain daily schedules for bulk loading and packaging across both the Milton and St. Therese (QC) locations.
Accounts Payable & Courier Handling:

  • Review, approve, and synergize invoices from carriers, couriers, and scaling services.
  • Manage outbound courier shipments via FedEx, UPS, and Purolator.
  • Prepare all month-end billings for storage and scaling.
Reporting & Office Coordination:

  • Compile month-end reports, including car demurrage, customer inventory, and storage reports.
  • Ensure all monthly corrections are accurately reflected in final storage billing.
  • Manage office hospitality: Coordinate weekly snack and coffee orders with vendors.
Candidate Requirements:

  • Meticulous Attention to Detail: You take pride in "zero-error" data entry and thorough record-keeping.
  • Organizational Skills: You can manage multiple schedules and logistics streams simultaneously.
  • Proven Reliability: You are looking for a long-term home with a stable, established Canadian company
