SUMMARY
The Warehouse Associate is required to ensure the smooth, organized functioning of the company's warehouse. Responsibilities include various aspects such as accurate receiving, shipping, packaging, and sorting of goods and materials in the warehouse, and performing all inventory-related activities efficiently.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unload product safely and efficiently, and stack/organize into the warehouse.
- Receive product into the inventory in the ERP system. Ensure all paper procedures are followed (ie. Signed packing slips)
- Prepare product for shipping or delivery and ensure the optimal condition of the product leaving the warehouse;
- Prepare shipping documents when required.
- Prepare an inventory count of the predetermined product by the set due date.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free/safe warehouse, including daily walk-around of the warehouse to identify any safety issues;
- Provide leadership by demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety-conscious behavior.
- Administration duties as required.
- You are expected to know and understand the company’s workplace Health & Safety Policy.
- Ensure forklift maintenance has been performed, including regular oil changes
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Intermediate reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Forklift Certification with minimum 1 year experience moving long/large items;
3. Experience with picking and packaging items and shipping with Purolator;
4. Valid driver's license, minimum Class G required.

7. Ability to interact professionally with customers
8. Basic understanding of computers for Purolator orders and emails, Microsoft Teams
9. Range of mobility, 80% of the day requires standing and walking split 50/50, 10% on machinery assembly, 10% on sitting, completing paperwork. Must be able to lift 50 lbs to waist height, 40 lbs overhead, and walk with 20 lbs.
