Job Specifics

Shift time: 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM (1/2 -hour unpaid lunch - 2 -15-minute breaks)
Days: Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:
  • Enter data for quantities of parts issued & transferred out of the maintenance shop, inventory & cycle count adjustments, into the computer database.
  • Enter incoming parts into the parts room database & adjust quantities.
  • Record & monitor all items daily; notify appropriate personnel when material is received or needs to be ordered.
  • Initiate PR’s to maintain proper level of inventory of all material as required.
  • Locate all issued items on the platform & notify appropriate supervision of their arrival & location. Ensure correct identification/documentation of the same.
  • Off-loading of parts to appropriate storage areas.
  • Responsible for good housekeeping conditions in all areas associated with material storage.
  • Maintain accurate records/logs of all material certification & documentation which accompanies specific job packs to ensure work can proceed on time.
  • Check on materials received to verify accuracy of delivery invoices & advise discrepancies so that appropriate adjustments can be made.
  • Receipt & issue store items, maintain properly documented store records & carry out inventory of company plant & equipment as per company requirements/procedures.
  • Observe & comply with company safety rules & regulations.
 
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further training/certification in inventory management, logistics, or warehousing is an asset.
  • Previous experience in a parts room, stores, warehouse, or inventory control role 
  • Proficiency in computerized inventory/database systems (ERP, MRP, or WMS)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift, move, and off-load materials as required (physical capability for warehouse tasks).
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with supervisors, maintenance staff, and vendors.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to materials handling and storage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Forklift or material-handling equipment certification preferred
